Yosemite Lake Engagement Session
Right before summer ended this year, I took a look at my recent portfolio and decided that I needed more couple’s session to be able to move my business in the direction I wanted!
The truth is that after this Malibu elopement I documented in April, I was so inspired to continue doing more work with couple sessions and in the elopement photography industry.
So, I sat at my desk one Monday morning (Iced Chai in hand) and I researched ideas for hours.
I put together a vision board, sort-of planned the logistics, set tentative dates…now I just needed a couple. So I decided to host a model call online!
That’s where Victoria and Jordan come in! *rounds of applause*
From the get-go, they were both so kind and interested in helping me build the couple’s session I had envisioned. They were happy to begin planning their outfits and preparing to be in front of the camera right away.
We chose to have a sunset couple’s session to give the images that bit of glow.
When they arrived, I felt instantly at easy. They were such pleasant client models to work with! I secretly wished we would have had more time to shoot or go to a different location.
Before we actually got to start though, I asked them to tell me a bit about themselves and how they met. I found out that they had been recently engaged and were planning their wedding for 2023.
Then they told me they met when they were both in middle school. Now, that’s amazing!
I don’t think I had ever met a couple that had known each other that young! I began to realize how beautiful and transformative it must have been to be able to grow alongside each other since childhood.
So without further ado, here I present you the lovely nearly-weds!
